Law Office Supervisor I/II - CN
The Office of County Counsel has an opportunity for a Law Office Supervisor I/II - CN (Confidential) in Riverside.
The level at which this position will be filled is at the department's discretion.
The Law Office Supervisor will support the fiscal, administrative, IT, and recordkeeping operations within the Office of County Counsel.
This role will assist with key administrative functions, including billing, fiscal reporting, account reconciliation, payroll duties, equipment inventory, and records management.
The position will also provide essential IT support for department staff, including troubleshooting system issues, supporting improvement projects, and coordinating technology setup for workstations, and equipment inventory.
Responsibilities also include assisting with front desk operations such as answering phones, routing calls, stocking supply rooms and mail pickups.
A major component of this role involves supporting ongoing improvement projects.
These include timesheet/payroll updates, automating our billing processes, implementing templates in ProLaw, and generating reports that integrate ProLaw data into Power BI to support caseload tracking for each division.
The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll, IT support, Power BI, financial reconciliation, and records management.
Preferred background includes project management and the ability to troubleshoot basic computer and printer issues, including submitting IT tickets.
Knowledge of Laserfiche, ProLaw, and PeopleSoft HCM/Financials is strongly preferred.
The role requires familiarity with retention schedules and managing files that must be preserved and scanned.
Coursework or experience in accounting or finance is helpful.
Candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and especially Excel at an intermediate to advanced level (formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data/billing analysis).
Experience using Power BI to create dashboards, such as tracking open cases, is also desired.

of the Employee Relations Resolution, as "any employee who may be privy to the decision-making process of County management affecting employee relations" and are only authorized for use within the departments of Executive Office, Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, and Human Resources.
