DHL Express has an opening for a Controlling Manager in our Lachine, QC. This role is responsible for directing and performing financial analysis and reporting activities to support short-term and long-range strategic plans and operating budgets.  Establishes budgeting systems and procedures and monitors actual performance against budget.  Evaluates data, prepares forecasts, and analyzes trends in sales, operations, general business conditions, and other related areas.  Identifies performance issues and makes recommendations to management for remedial actions.  Prepares and distributes periodic financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.  Ensures all reports and disclosures comply with applicable governmental regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.  

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?



* Oversee financial modeling and the assessment and evaluation of alternative financial plans as they relate to the organization's objectives.   


* Contributes to corporate financial strategic planning, analysis and review through the identification of cost-saving and profit-maximizing opportunities to improve current processes and provide meaningful information to key decision makers.   


* Presents budget and forecast recommendations to senior leadership team.   


* Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in DHL’s proprietary financial systems in full alignment with global reporting standards and requirements.


* Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, including variance analysis, narratives and recommendations for various stakeholders in a timely manner.


* Provide Controlling services and financial support across all business units, acting as a trusted business partner.


* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple functions to ensure best practice.

Work closely with Functional leads and Cost Centre Managers in understanding key cost drivers
