* Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution (by May 2026).

Preferred Qualifications:


* Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Robotic, Industrial/Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science/Software Engineering.


* Experience with robotics or other programming of robots


* Strong verbal and written communication skills


* Strong collaboration skills


* Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment


* Highly detailed and organized


* Relevant internship/work experience a plus

The Automation Engineer Intern will be located in our Plant 3, Whitehall Casting Operation in Whitehall, MI.

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our Plant 3 team.

This position will assist our Automation teams in identifying new manufacturing technology and sustaining current technology in use at the operation.

The 2026 Summer Internship Program consists of 10-14 weeks of structured hands-on training involving plant tours, lunch & learn seminars, fun networking events to connect with fellow interns, and projects selected to add direct value to the business.
