Control Manager - Vice President
Description:
As a Control Manager Vice President within the Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) organization, you'll be responsible for leading and building out an enhanced control framework which supports a continuous and integrated approach to risk assessment for the Card Cobrand Partner Business.
Additionally, you'll ensure the team assists in top-down risk analysis, real-time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation.
Job Responsibilities:
* Spearhead the design and execution of forward-thinking control strategies to proactively identify and neutralize compliance and operational risks.
* Decode business needs, anticipate trends, and deliver automated, sustainable, solutions that elevate the control environment.
* Develops and improve escalation procedures and control frameworks.
* Build influential partnerships with internal stakeholders, driving open communication and collaboration to uphold integrity and achieve strategic milestones.
* Design and execute change management strategies for complex initiatives, drive adoption while minimizing disruption, lead stakeholders through change, and train others on best practices.
* Persuades stakeholders in complex scenarios, navigate negotiations with data-driven arguments.
* Navigate competing interests to drive mutual outcomes.
* Design and deliver sophisticated, high-impact presentations with exceptional clarity, and synthesize complex discussions into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
* Participates in structured knowledge sessions for complex projects, and advises teams on risk and control aspects.
* Synthesizes information to uncover root causes and risks, rigorously evaluates options and trade-offs while challenging assumptions, facilitates stakeholder alignment and consensus, and advises others on escalation timing.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
* 7+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance.
* Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment in conjunction with business partners.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
* Extensive knowledge of Credit Card marketing and operations.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
* Analyzes complex data with sophisticated techniques, identifies high-impact automation/machine learning opportunities, translates technical capabilities and data into compelling business cases and insights that drive decisions, and trains and advises teams on data practices and automation strategy.
