Intern - Commercial and Operational Data Analyst
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial and Operational Data Analyst Intern to join our Engineered Materials Group Strategic Programs team for Summer 2026.
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience assisting with a global, strategic, change management project related to commercial and operation analysis and reporting.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
* Assist with identifying trends, patterns, and insights to support data-driven decisions across the Engineered Materials Group
* Assist with the summary and communication of analysis results within the group
* Help develop, implement, and maintain databases, data collection systems, and other strategic applications which optimize data efficiency and the quality of commercial reporting
* Assist with the preparation of reports, visualizations, and dashboards to present data insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable way (e.g.
Power BI dashboards reports, etc.)
* Monitor data accuracy and integrity, ensuring quality and consistency of data
* Assist project teams comprising of different departments (such as Product Management, Sales, IT, Engineering, Operations) to make document data and processes changes required to optimize processes and outputs
* Write SQL queries to access and manipulate data in relational databases.
* Develop scripts (Python, R, etc.) to automate data processing tasks.
* Extract data from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files) using appropriate tools and techniques.
* Cleanse and transform raw data to ensure data quality and consistency.
* Assist with the development of data pipelines to automate data ingestion and processing.
Education & Experience
* Education Level Required: Current College Student, all tracts, rising Junior or above considered Bachelor's / Master's / PhD
* Majors: Technical degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Economics considered
* Demonstrated Experience and Skills
* Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g.
Excel, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, VB/VBA, MATLAB)
* Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in engineering, manufacturing
* Knowledge of machine learning and predictive modeling is a plus
* Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes
* Open to currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within one year of the internship start date.
