Intern - Thermal Testing

Responsibilities


* Develop a familiarity with Coherent's portfolio of thermal materials as well as thermal management techniques, test equipment, and measurement methods


* Conduct thermal testing of liquid cold plates following established procedures


* Analyze thermal test results, compare measured data to modeling predictions, and identify reasons for deviation between simulation and experiment


* Summarize data and present findings to engineering team and management

Requirements


* Physics, mechanical engineering, materials science majors will be most suited for this role


* Experience working in a laboratory environment and following safety requirements


* Strong analytical skills and comfort with data processing (Excel, Matlab, Python, R, or similar)


* Prior experience related to thermal management, heat transfer, and/or fluid dynamics a plus


* Experience with G-Code a plus


* Citizen or permanent resident
