About You
We're looking for someone who has:
* A Bachelor's or preferably Master's degree in Planning or a related field such as geography, public administration, or urban design
* AICP certification or the ability to achieve AICP designation within one year
* Minimum of 8 years of planning experience
* Excellent written, oral, and visual communication skills
* Experience with GIS, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign preferred
* Proven business development skills
* Demonstrated leadership and management of projects and staff
* Additional experience may be required for some assignments

About the Role
As a Senior Planner, you will:
* Prepare planning reports, presentations, and studies including data analysis, technical writing, and supporting graphic development
* Participate in public presentations
* Support transportation planning projects for state, regional, county, and local agencies in the southeastern United States.
Projects may include multimodal transportation plans, corridor studies, feasibility analyses, and safety action plans
* Manage the preparation and review of preliminary and final planning deliverables, making recommendations for additions, deletions, and substitutions as needed
* Supervise and observe project work and progress, including coordination with City, State, and County officials and other agencies
* Supervise less experienced managers and/or technical support personnel assigned to the project
* Coordinate projects with clients, contractors, outside consultants, and firm staff
* Communicate and interact with project team members, client representatives, review agencies, and others as appropriate; resolve a variety of complex problems
