Sr Staff Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

The Senior Staff Electrical Engineer researches, plans, designs, develops, analyzes, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including displays, sensors, processors, interface units, and other electronic devices; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.

Responsibilities and Tasks:


* Perform design activities as assigned by the supervisor.



* Architect overall design effort.


* Able to analyze overall systems in depth, including algorithms.


* Able to lead a development effort involving multiple design elements.


* Produce reports and analysis.


* Produce schematics.


* Design and run validation testing.


* Participate as a lead in design reviews.


* Participate as a lead in proposal development.


* Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education, Experience/Knowledge & License/Certification:


* A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline (a master's degree is preferred) with at least 15 years of experience in electrical engineering and electronic design and development


* Specific Degree Field Required: Electrical or Electronic Engineering.


* Training Pre-requisites (Within One Year of Taking Position):


* ESD


* Safety Training, as dictated by the Safety Department

Skills and Abilities:


* Ability to organize the design effort


* Proficiency with schematic capture tools


* Proficiency with electrical and analytical analysis packages


* PLM proficient
