Data Scientist Intern

At Schneider Electric, our interns contribute, create, and grow to improve efficiency across our North America business.

As a Data Science Intern, you'll be part of a dynamic team working on real-world AI and machine learning projects.

You'll gain hands-on experience, develop professional skills, and support analytical solutions that impact business decisions.


* Location: Nashville, TN


* Duration: 10-12 weeks (Summer)


* Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week


* Work Model: Hybrid (2 days/week)


* Sponsorship: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

This position does not offer sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, OPT, CPT), relocation, or visa support to work in the United States now or in the future.

What You'll Do

As a Data Science Intern a typical week might include:


* Support senior data scientists with data exploration, preparation, and baseline analysis.


* Interact with business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements to actionable analysis


* Assist in developing forecasting or predictive models or generative AI workflows.


* Help evaluate model performance and communicate insights.


* Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and intern learning events.

Who You'll Work With

You'll report to a Senior Data Scientist and collaborate with the North America (NAM) AI team.

You'll also engage with interns across NAM through workshops, networking events, and mentorship programs.

What We're Looking For


* Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.


* Foundational knowledge of statistical concepts, machine learning methods, and generative AI techniques.


* Familiarity with Python and its common packages


* Strong communication and collaboration skills.


* Curiosity and willingness to learn new analytical and technical skills
