As a Consulting Associate, Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist with ERM, based in Raleigh or Charlotte, North Carolina, you’ll be part of a global team that tackles some of today’s most pressing environmental challenges—site investigation, remediation, compliance, and hazardous waste management.

What Your Impact Is
You will support meaningful environmental projects through work such as:
* Conducting field investigations including soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, and indoor air sampling.
* Performing aquifer testing, drilling oversight and soil logging, monitoring well and soil boring installs, well development, purging and sampling, remedial and wastewater treatment pilot tests, and remedial system O&M.
* Assisting with groundwater and wastewater system performance monitoring.
* Supporting Phase I and II environmental assessments for property transfer transactions.
* Compiling and evaluating environmental data and assisting in report development.
* Preparing environmental compliance documents—work plans, permits, and reports for air quality, stormwater, hazardous waste, spill prevention, and wastewater.
* Helping ensure regulatory compliance at federal, state, and local levels.
* Working within established quality, budget, and schedule expectations to meet project requirements.
* Communicating with subcontractors, regulatory personnel, tenants, and clients during field activities.
What You’ll Bring
Required
* Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, environmental science, or related field; Master’s degree a plus.
Or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 3.0 GPA.
* Recent graduate to 2 years of relevant experience.
* Strong interest in fieldwork; ability to stand or walk for full field days.
