Facilities Support Supervisor

The Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) is hiring a Facilities Support Supervisor located in Riverside.

This position will work under the direction and report to the Administrative Services Officer for the Facilities Services Unit.

The Facilities Support Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the Facilities Support Center, manages six direct reports, and leads a team of DPSS Technicians in delivering services across more than 32 sites throughout Riverside County.

Responsibilities include managing a centralized call center, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to address maintenance needs, ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and comfort of department-occupied spaces, and coordinating project services such as minor staff moves, workspace shuffles, furniture reconfigurations, and small tenant improvements.

Additionally, the selected incumbent will conduct research and analysis, evaluate statistical data, apply best practices to support continuous quality improvement, and ensure the consistent delivery of effective facility services.

The department seeks a candidate with proven supervisory and administrative expertise in facilities management, particularly within call center operations and project management.

The ideal individual will demonstrate a strong track record in managing multiple, concurrent projects and effectively communicating across all organizational levels, both internally and externally.

Additional qualifications include proven experience in interpreting data, drawing actionable insights, and leveraging findings to drive continuous improvement and strategic decision-making; a history of providing strategic leadership and guidance to large, diverse teams, including indirect oversight of groups exceeding 17+ staff members.

The successful candidate will be results-driven, detail-oriented, and committed to overcoming challenges through innovative, solution-focused approaches.

Additionally, the most successful candidates will demonstrate a passion for continuous improvement by actively identifying process gaps and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in procedures and workflows.

Candidates with advanced knowledge of ServiceNow, call center operations, process analysis and development, Microsoft Excel, and Visio are strongly encouraged to apply.

Sigma or Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) are highly desired.
