As a Software Engineer III - Test Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team, designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.

You will be responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions, supporting the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities


* Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems


* Identifies and implements areas for improving efficiency, shortening of test cycles, and automation of test scripts


* Collaborates with various teams including QA teams, IT Development, Project Management


* Assists the team to develop test project plans, test schedule, test plans, and detailed test cases as defined by Project teams


* Participates in review sessions of business requirements, technical requirements, and design documents to ensure that software changes are understood to facilitate testing


* Sponsors initiatives designed to support continual QA process improvements, and the integration of the QA process with other development activities


* Initiates and completes test escape and root cause analysis, testing lessons learned, recommends future process improvements and defect prevention


* Participates in integration testing strategies to ensure end-to-end system reliability


* Develops and executes test plans for mobile applications, ensuring compatibility and performance across various devices and platform

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience


* Proven experience with Test script design in Gherkin format (BDD-Cucumber)


* Hands-on practical experience on Performance Testing using tools such as Jmeter/Blazemeter and experience in designing test automation frameworks integrated with AI/ML capabilities


* Experience with testing Mobile Native & Hybrid Apps and relevant Automation and deep knowledge of various Testing Models (BDD/Agile Practices)


* Proficient in Framework Development with automation tools such as Selenium/Playwright and hands-on coding in Java


* Expertise in API / Contract testing.

Experience implementing contract testing methodologies for microservices architectures


* Experience in all aspects of functional, integration, and regression testing


* Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
