Intern – Engineering Data Analysis

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented summer Intern to join our OCS team for Summer 2026.

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in OCS data analysis work alongside industry professionals, and contribute to meaningful projects that support our team and company objectives.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


* Key responsibilities: using deep learn skill to do data analysis to improve the optical performance of OCS products, identify the fundamental trend and characterization of the module functions over temperature, reliability stress and all the configurations; investigate correlation of calibration table, optimize calibration algorithm to reduce the calibration time consumption


* Collaborating with OCS engineering and R&D team


* Summarize the data analysis result and present to the OCS team periodically for assigned work.

Education & Experience


* Education Level Required: Bachelor's or above


* - If Bachelor's is ok: Please indicate preferred year: 2 nd year or higher


* Majors: Science, Engineering, Physics or Computer Science


* Relevant coursework or extracurricular experience in optics is a plus.


* Open to currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within one year of the internship start date.

Skills & Other Requirements


* Excellent written and verbal communication.


* Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed.


* Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.


* Attention to detail and time management.


* Computer programming skills required: Python and MATLAB are preferred.

MS Excel, Word and Power Point are required.

* Internship Duration: 10 - 14 weeks.

* This role will be based on-site in Sunnyvale Office.


* Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.

Physical Requirements


* Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings.


* Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.


* Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.


* Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
