IT Manager lV

Riverside County Information Technology (RCIT) is seeking an IT Manager IV in Riverside.

The IT Manager IV will report directly to the Assistant Chief Information Officer (ACIO) for the Converged Communications Bureau (CCB), a division of 49 dedicated staff members.

This role provides leadership and strategic direction for several key teams responsible for delivering essential technology solutions and support across Riverside County.

These functional areas include Network Operations/Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Physical Security and Access, VoIP Operations/Engineering, Customer Support, and Network Field Support.

The specific teams assigned to the IT Manager IV will be determined based on departmental needs and the candidate's expertise.

Initially, the position will oversee up to three supervisors and their respective teams.

Over time, the scope of responsibility may evolve to align with organizational priorities and operational requirements.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess exceptional leadership capabilities, a forward-thinking mindset, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with fellow IT Managers to drive the implementation of enterprise strategies and tackle large-scale challenges.

A proven track record of leading enterprise technology teams, along with relevant education and training, forms the cornerstone of the qualifications sought for this role.

Highly preferred qualifications include extensive experience providing technological oversight at the enterprise level across a variety of areas, including Network Operations/Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Physical Security and Access, VoIP Operations/Engineering, Customer Support, and Network Field Support.

Familiarity with AI/GenAI platforms related to physical security and access, network monitoring, and contact center applications is also highly desirable.

The ITM IV class is responsible for management of multiple divisions and sections with oversight for Administration within an IT organization or highly technical specialties including, but not limited to, multiple midrange server support, applications development, systems administration, database administration, network administration, applications support, systems operations, communications, help desk and PC technical support.

Staff size for the ITM IV class is typically 80 or more employees, including one or more subordinate IT managers.

Responsibilities include managing a budget of $10M or higher with key oversight within an IT organization or specific technology areas for the department and division including setting of vision and strategic direction.

If operating as an administrator within the IT environment, the budget size will vary.

The ITM IV will Interface with internal management, state agencies, federal and regulatory agencies, or multiple County departments and agencies, and presents technology vision and strategies to executive management and Board of Supervisors.
