Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our therapy department.

Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the OTA will assist in implementing therapeutic interventions designed to promote residents' functional abilities, independence, and overall well‑being.

Responsibilities


* Carry out individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist


* Provide therapeutic activities to improve ADLs, functional mobility, strength, and coordination


* Document resident progress in accordance with center policies and regulatory requirements


* Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques and home programs


* Assist with training in the use of adaptive equipment


* Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals


* Maintain a safe, positive, and encouraging therapy environment

Qualifications


* Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of California


* Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient‑care skills


* Ability to work effectively within a collaborative care team


* Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) preferred, but not required
