The Digital Organization within Molex is seeking Data Science, Computer Science and IT interns to join our team(s) this upcoming Summer 2026 in Lisle, IL.

The internship opportunity will be a 12-week program running from late May to mid-August 2026.

All Interns will be required to be in the office in Lisle 5 days a week.
What You Will Do
Integration Solutions (Engineering) Intern:
We are seeking an Integration Engineering Intern to join the Integration Solutions - Enablement product team to help design, build, test, and document API integrations between internal services and third-party systems.
This role is hands-on and provides exposure to full lifecycle API work: requirements, design, implementation, testing, and monitoring.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
* Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2027.
* Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
* Practical programming experience in one or more general-purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.)
* Solid understanding of core API concepts and web fundamentals: HTTP, RESTful design, status codes, JSON/XML data formats, request/response lifecycle.
* Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic command-line workflows.
* Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration and documentation.
What Will Put You Ahead
* Exposure to API specification formats and tools (e.g., OpenAPI/Swagger-style concepts).
* Familiarity with authentication and authorization patterns (e.g., OAuth, JWT) and secure API design principles.
* Knowledge of integration patterns (batch vs.
streaming, polling vs.
webhooks) and experience implementing them.
* Basic understanding of observability tools and practices (logging, metrics, tracing) and how they help debug integrations.
