NDT Quality Technician I - Limited Duration

Primary Purpose:
Under the supervision of the NDT Manager, Quality, the NDT Quality Technician provides technical support to the organization, with emphasis on safety, quality, productivity, communication, continuous improvement, and ergonomics.

This position is directly tasked with supporting technique development and process improvement initiatives, training and operational support.

Duties and Responsibilities:


* Inspection & Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance of image plates to ensure proper functionality and quality.

Identify and address issues such as wear, damage, or performance deviations.


* Repair & Replacement: Diagnose and repair image plate issues or replace damaged components as needed.

Work with precision tools and techniques to restore image plates to operational standards.


* Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements.

Generate reports on image plate performance and suggest improvements or upgrades.


* Qualify image plates by utilizing an X-ray machine.


* Cleaning & Calibration: Execute cleaning procedures to prevent contamination and ensure image plates are correctly calibrated for accurate imaging and optimal performance.


* Compliance & Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards while performing maintenance tasks.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.


* Collaboration: Work closely with production and engineering teams to address image plate issues and contribute to troubleshooting efforts.


* Perform other duties as directed.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:


* Currently certified X-ray Level I or able to certify within 60 days of entering position


* Experience with Computed Radiography Equipment and Quality Control processes is required


* Demonstrate proficiency of computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.


* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


* Troubleshoot computer software and equipment issues.


* Good organizational and communication skills.

* Position requires individual to work in a production environment for extended periods of time.
