Manufacturing Engineer
Position Summary
This position will develop and support manufacturing plans to be used in the manufacturing of composite parts, tools, and assemblies for aerospace manufacturing using Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other along with various engineering software including Solid Works, NX, and Catia.

* Develop and maintain the manufacturing project plan in close coordination with Design Engineering, Project Engineering, Quality, customers, and Production Planning.
* Provide early and ongoing manufacturability (DFM) feedback to the Design Engineer throughout the design phase
* Ensure BOM and other related items needed for manufacturing are ordered and delivered on time
* Produce all shop-related documentation required to support manufacturing, including work instructions, process plans, tooling requirements, and travelers
* Support the shop floor, Quality, and other departments on all manufacturability and production-related aspects of the project
* Drive resolution of manufacturing issues to maintain schedule, quality, and cost targets
* Be a well-rounded professional who thoroughly understands the manufacturing processes and end uses of our products.
* Be willing to assist wherever needed
* Track, prioritize, and estimate progress on tasks
* Work seamlessly with all team members as well as other teams within the organization
* The ideal candidate will possess the skills above and be willing to work on off hours and weekends on occasions as workloads vary.
Required Skills and Experience
* A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related industry experience
* 3–7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment (industry-specific experience preferred, e.g., aerospace, composites, automotive).
* Proven knowledge and hands on experience with modeling software, specifically SolidWorks and NX.
* Knowledge and experience of different types of tooling including, but not limited to assembly fixtures, vacuum trim fixtures, mechanical clamping trim fixtures, traditional composite and metal mold tools, high temperature mold tools, room temperature mold tools
* Knowledge and experience with composite layup and curing operations along with general manufacturing knowledge
* Ability to work from blueprints, 3D-models, and customer specifications to produce a manufacturing plan and work instructions.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, communicate openly, and contribute to achieving shared goals
