Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to manage and support Microsoft SQL Server platforms in a business-critical manufacturing enterprise environment.

This role is responsible for ensuring database availability, performance, security, backup and recovery readiness, and overall operational stability across on-premises and Cloud-hosted SQL Server environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions, and automation using T-SQL and PowerShell, along with experience supporting ERP, PDM, and enterprise integration platforms.

Exposure to hybrid or Cloud-based SQL workloads and manufacturing systems is an added advantage.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


* Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances across Dev, Test, Staging, Production, and DR.


* Lead database upgrades, patching, and environment standardization.


* Design and manage High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions (Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, Replication).


* Define, implement, and regularly test backup and recovery strategies, including point-in-time restores.


* Proactively monitor and tune SQL Server performance at server, database, and query levels.


* Analyze execution plans, wait statistics, blocking, and long-running queries.


* Troubleshoot and resolve production database incidents, including RCA and preventive actions.


* Manage database security, access controls, auditing, and compliance requirements.


* Support SQL workloads for ERP, PDM, and integration platforms.


* Automate routine DBA activities using T-SQL, PowerShell, and SQL Server Agent.


* Perform capacity planning and ensure system scalability for business growth.


* Maintain documentation, standards, procedures, and change records.


* Participate in 24x7 on-call support as part of a DBA rotation.

Required Skills & Experience:


* 8+ years of strong hands-on SQL Server DBA experience
