Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer with strong expertise in Active Directory, Windows Server administration, and VMware ESXi environments.

The role involves end-to-end ownership of on-prem infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, performance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:


* Design, administer, and support Active Directory environments including users, groups, GPOs, trusts, DNS, and FSMO roles


* Manage and maintain Windows Server infrastructure (2012/2016/2019/2022)


* Administer VMware ESXi and vCenter environments including VM provisioning, upgrades, and performance tuning


* Plan and execute server builds, migrations, patching, and decommissioning


* Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability and proactively resolve issues


* Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions


* Ensure security best practices, access controls, and compliance


* Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues related to AD, Windows, and virtualization


* Collaborate with network, security, and application teams


* Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and architecture diagrams


* Support audits, change management, and incident/problem management


* Mentor and guide junior engineers

Required Skills & Experience


* 10+ years of hands-on experience in Windows Server and Active Directory administration


* Strong expertise in AD DS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and LDAP


* Solid experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter


* Experience in server patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting


* Knowledge of backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, or similar


* Strong understanding of security hardening and access controls


* Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

Good to Have:


* PowerShell scripting experience


* Exposure to Azure AD or Hybrid AD environments


* Experience with monitoring tools (SCOM, SolarWinds, etc.)


* ITIL process knowledge


* Relevant certifications (MCSE, VMware VCP, Azure)
