We are currently seeking a Real Estate Closer to join our team! The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth, accurate closings for our members.

Key Responsibilities


* Take ownership of preparing and reviewing final mortgage closing documentation.


* Ensure all compliance and underwriting requirements are met before disbursement.


* Work closely with loan processors, originators, and closing agents to answer questions and provide solutions.


* Maintain detailed knowledge of regulations, investor guidelines, and credit union policies.


* Safeguard member information by following top-tier security procedures.

Qualifications


* Minimum of one year of general lending experience is required.


* Minimum of three years’ experience in mortgage lending field is preferred.


* High School diploma, GED, or HSED is required.


* Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and external parties.


* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and mortgage lending software.


* Ability to be organized, maintain accuracy, and pay attention to detail.


* Ability to make sound decisions and resolve issues efficiently.


* Uphold Altra’s brand principles and provide exceptional member service.

Availability


* This position is 40-hours a week, Monday through Friday.


* Typical hours are 8:00 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m.

Work Environment


* This position is located at Altra’s Operations Center in Onalaska, WI


* However, work from home / remote opportunities can be considered for those candidates who live within Altra’s approved remote states: CO, FL, GA, IA, MI, MN, NJ, NC, TN, TX, and WI.

* Competitive starting hourly pay, based on previous experience.


* When bilingual in Spanish or Hmong, receive a $1.00 per hour pay premium after completing and passing the language exam.
