Compliance Specialist - Corporate Compliance and Privacy

Riverside University Health System seeks candidates to fill Compliance Specialist positions with the Corporate Compliance and Privacy department.

Incumbents support the planning, implementation, and maintenance of compliance programs and activities within the health system.

While the role may include supervision of clerical or technical staff, its primary focus is oninvestigative case work and privacy-related compliance functions.

Responsibilities of the role include:


* Conducting privacy investigations and maintaining case documentation


* Responding to compliance and privacy inquiries


* Representing the compliance function in internal and external meetings


* Performing in-person privacy audits


* Recommending improvements to policies, procedures, and compliance practices


* Assisting with the development and implementation of compliance solutions

The ideal candidate for the Compliance Specialist role is a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a strong understanding of compliance and privacy principles.

This individual demonstrates the ability to conduct thorough privacy investigations, maintain accurate case documentation, and respond effectively to compliance and privacy inquiries across the organization.

They are comfortable representing the compliance function in both internal and external meetings and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

The candidate is proactive and solutions-focused, capable of performing in-person privacy audits, identifying compliance risks, and recommending practical improvements to policies, procedures, and overall compliance practices.

Additionally, they have the organizational skills and initiative needed to support the development and implementation of compliance solutions that strengthen the organization's privacy and regulatory framework.

This position differs from the RUHS Compliance Program Manager, which involves managing a standalone compliance division and overseeing full-scale program development and execution.

The Compliance Specialist is not considered a natural progression or underfill for the Compliance Program Manager classification.
