Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting by building solutions and breaking down technical problems.

Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.

Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.

Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.

Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.

Provide technical leadership, mentor developers, design and architect mobile apps using best practices, drive code reviews, and manage sprint planning.

Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computing and Security Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 2 years (24 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computing and Security Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 1 year (12 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires one (1) year of experience with the following: Designing, developing, and implementing RESTful APIs and working within microservices-based environments, including defining service endpoints, managing inter-service communication through APIs, integrating with databases, implementing security protocols including authentication and authorization, conducting unit and integration testing, and ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance in production environments; Developing enterprise applications using Spring and Spring Boot frameworks, including configuring application contexts, implementing dependency injection, developing reusable modules, integrating with relational and non-relational databases; and managing project dependencies and building automation using Maven and Gradle, executing automated tests, and deploying applications in cloud and on-premises environments.
