Regional Human Resource Manager - Distribution Centers
Job Description
The Regional DC HR Manager (RDCHRM) leads HR strategy and operations for Supply Chain Distribution Centers, ensuring strong employee relations, compliance, talent development, and workforce planning.
This role partners with DC leadership, Regional DC Managers, and the Supply Chain HR Director to align HR practices with operational goals.
The RDCHRM drives staffing effectiveness, monitors organizational needs, and ensures consistent HR practices across the region.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support regional DC HR teams to drive performance in compliance, engagement, staffing, retention, training, and development.
* Develop regional HR strategies and tactical plans to support DC operational needs.
* Develop, coach, mentor, and lead strong HR teams within the region.
* Establish, analyze, and communicate HR KPIs; guide regional HR teams on performance improvement.
* Serve as the primary HR contact for legal counsel and represent AutoZone in legal matters as needed; lead high level investigations and provide guidance accordingly.
* Ensure compliance with all labor laws, EEO/AAP, wage and hour regulations, and work authorization requirements.
* Oversee regional succession planning and talent development.
* Monitor operational performance and HR metrics; identify trends and implement corrective actions.
* Promote positive employee relations and drive engagement, morale, and workplace culture initiatives.
* Advise HR teams and leaders on conflict resolution, investigations, and HR policy implementation.
* Encourage use of recognition programs and support consistent HR practices across the chain.
* Maintain strong partnerships with HR and SSC leaders to support business objectives.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree and relevant industry experience.
* Experience managing teams across multiple sites/states preferred.
* Proven capability to lead HR teams, exercise good judgment, and consistently perform all duties at manager level.
* Knowledge of distribution center operations.
* Strong decision making and ability to influence outcomes.
* Strong understanding of employment law; legal experience a plus.
* Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
* 15 years of experience in employee relations, organizational development, diversity, performance management, and employment law.
* Skilled facilitator able to influence decisions and coach leaders.
* Flexible and effective at engaging employees at all levels.
* Proficient in MS Office; a minimum of 50% travel required.

* Master's degree
* PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certifications
* Bilingual language skills
