Assistant Nurse Manager - MC/CHC - Medical Surgical Units

The County of Riverside's Riverside University Health System, (RUHS), is currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager-MC/CHC for multiple Medical/Surgical units in Moreno Valley.

The Assistant Nurse Manager - MC/CHC is the supervisory level classification and reports to the Executive Director.

Incumbents assist in the overall supervision and coordination of operations and programs within assigned nursing units.

The scope of responsibility for the Assistant Nurse Manager - MC/CHC spans all aspects of nursing care, 24-hours per day, for multiple inpatient-nursing units or high-volume outpatient units.

The focus of this position is specific to U nit-Based Telemetry, Med/Surge, Float Pool, IMCU overflow, and Cath Lab/ Neuro/ Vascular interventions once admitted to the medical-surgical unit.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Nursing and at least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse, which must have included a t least one year of experience as a charge nurse or experience in a lead capacity.

He/she should also possess foundational knowledge of chemotherapy and oncology concepts, with the ability to educate patients and/or staff.

Required Licenses and Certifications



* A current and valid RN license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of California.


* A current and valid Basic Life Support, (BLS), certification, issued by the American Heart Association.


* A current and valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support, (ACLS) , certification, issued by the American Heart Association.


* A current and valid National Institute of Health Stroke Scale, (NIHSS), certification issued by the American Heart Association, Blue Cloud-National Stroke Association, or Apex.


* A current and valid Oncology certification within 6 months of hire date, (if selected).

* Work Schedule: 4/10 schedule, 0630-1700


* Will be working as the Telemetry, Med/Surge, IMCU overflow, Float Pool and Cath Lab, Neuro and Vascular post patient care monitoring team Educator.
