Position Summary

The COTA works closely with the Occupational Therapist to provide direct patient care and support rehabilitation goals.

This role plays an essential part in delivering high-quality, patient-centered therapy services.
Key Responsibilities (Summary):


* Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the Occupational Therapist and physician treatment plans


* Document daily treatments, progress notes, and required therapy records in compliance with state regulations and payer requirements


* Communicate patient progress and needs with the interdisciplinary care team


* Assist with restorative aide training and caregiver education


* Participate in discharge planning and family education


* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment area


* Support in-services and ongoing staff education

Qualifications:


* Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing with the State of CA


* Knowledge of documentation systems such as Casamba and PointClickCare preferred


* Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills


* Commitment to teamwork and compassionate patient care


* Meets all continuing education requirements per state regulations
