Senior Product Engineer

Responsible for applying mechanical engineering principles in the new product development, product sustaining, and validation processes of manufactured commercial access system equipment from concept ideation, design, prototype, testing, and commissioning to final production.

Participate in a cross-functional Team that owns the action plan to deliver products.Skills/Experience Requirements


* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Civil-Structural Engineering or equivalent; from an ABET-accredited institution


* Extensive knowledge in engineering mechanical systems, steel weldments, electromechanical actuation systems and commercial consumer equipment


* Licensed professional engineer (PE); preferred


* 5+ years of experience in product design & development


* Advanced product configuration knowledge


* Working knowledge of advanced prototyping methods such as 3D printing, hand tools, and simple workshop tools, including but not limited to a drill press, belt sander, band saw, etc.


* 5+ years of experience with Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA)


* 5+ years of SolidWorks Part, Assembly, Drawing, and FEA experience


* Computer literate in MS Office products, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word


* Strong written and oral presentation and technical communication skills - for both internal groups as well as clients and trade groups/ seminars


* Displays self-awareness, customer focus, a collaborative mindset, flexibility, and adaptability; instills trust and drives results

Education Requirements


* Must have Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related Engineering discipline; from an ABET-accredited institution

Physical/Work Environment Requirements


* Normal office environment


* Occasional manufacturing environment


* Must be capable of crawling 10 ft, lifting 40 pounds, and climbing a 10' ladder


* Moderate travel
