Georgia Pacific's EarthKraft™ Packaging team is seeking qualified professionals to consider for a Process Engineer - Quality role supporting our growing Mailers business.

In this role, you will be the primary liaison between our customers and suppliers, ensuring that our products meet and exceed customer quality standards, enabling a preferred partnership.

Your focus will be on developing robust quality processes, resolving customer quality challenges, and supporting the continued growth of our business.

The successful candidate in this role will be self-driven with a passion for leading continuous improvement initiatives.

The selected individual will have a proven track record of solving technical problems through the application of data analysis techniques and problem-solving methodology.

This individual will work cross-functionally to drive strategic quality initiatives.

What You Will Do


* Lead the quality program for outsourced packaging products, working with suppliers to develop and maintain robust quality practices through application of quality tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, Gauge R&R, advanced problem solving, and 6 Sigma.


* Apply appropriate risk-based thinking to proactively identify opportunities to reduce our quality risk profile.


* Collect Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback, communicate insights to the wider GP team and key suppliers, and drive actions to enhance customer satisfaction.


* Respond promptly to customer quality challenges, managing complaints with suppliers in collaboration with the cross-functional team.


* Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and develop preventive and corrective action plans (CAPA).


* Conduct quarterly supplier audits and leverage comparative testing (round-robin testing) to maintain product quality standards.


* Serve as the quality database owner, ensuring accurate data collection and effective storage of quality data.


* Identify and develop key customer success metrics for internal reporting and continuous improvement.


* Support supplier & customer trials for new and differentiated products and solutions.
