Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Inpatient Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

Work Schedule:
100% FTE, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.

No holidays or call requirements.

Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:


* Independently conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of pediatric patients with hematologic and oncologic diagnoses in the inpatient setting.


* Primarily manage a subset of inpatient heme/onc patients including preparing and signing chemotherapy treatment plans and orders


* Perform procedures as indicated such as bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures


* Collaborate with the wide range of Nursing and Physician specialists available at AFCH

Education:


* If Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.


* If Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure

If Nurse Practitioner

*:


* Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND


* Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice.

These may include the following: Pediatric Primary Care or Pediatric Acute Care.

If Physician Assistant

*:


* Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND


* Active PA board certification

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have
