BMS Service Technician
The Opportunity:
Schneider Electric's Digital Energy business is leading the way in helping customers maximize energy efficiency and sustainability.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Management System (BMS) Service Technician to join our team in Sydney.
Reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager, you'll act as a technical partner to our customers across a variety of commercial buildings, with a strong focus on Commercial Buildings in Sydney If you're passionate about smart building technology, energy efficiency, and delivering exceptional service, this role is for you!
What You'll Do:
* Install, maintain, and repair BMS equipment including controllers, sensors, actuators, and networking devices.
* Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and resolve technical issues related to BMS operation.
* Program and configure BMS systems to meet project requirements and ensure optimal building performance.
* Collaborate with engineering and project teams to integrate BMS into building automation projects.
* Provide technical support and training to customers on BMS operation and maintenance.
* Conduct inspections and performance assessments to ensure compliance and efficiency.
* Document service activities including maintenance reports, work orders, and equipment records.
* Adhere to safety regulations and protocols during installations and maintenance.
* Deliver excellent service within budget and time constraints.
* Participate in on-call duties (allowance and overtime apply).
What We're Looking For:
* Strong technical skills in building automation systems, HVAC controls, or electrical/mechanical systems.
* Experience with fault-finding, networking hardware (routers, switches), and IT systems.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
* Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift and carry equipment and tools.
* Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and around electrical equipment.
* Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.
