BAS Technician I

Schneider Electric is seeking a Building Automation Service Technician to join our team in the Morrisville, NC area.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in electrical/control systems, HVAC fundamentals, and a strong desire to grow within Building Automation Systems (BAS).
What You Will Do


* Work with senior technicians to start up and commission complex HVAC Building Automation Systems


* Provide field sketches and as-built documentation for engineering updates and design corrections


* Deliver start-up and checkout documentation to installation teams for commissioning and validation


* Review and validate graphical user interfaces for BAS systems as part of the commissioning process


* Participate in online, classroom, and hands-on training to continuously expand your technical skills


* Collaborate with operations and technical teams to ensure high-quality installations and customer satisfaction

What Qualifications You NeedTechnical Skills


* Solid understanding of basic power wiring, including:
+ Motor starters
+ Contactors
+ VFDs
+ Control relays


* Working knowledge of commercial and light industrial HVAC systems, such as:
+ Chilled water and hot water loop systems
+ Constant Volume (CV) and Variable Air Volume (VAV) air handling units
+ VAV terminals and fan-powered VAV units


* Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics and electrical diagrams


* Basic computer proficiency


* Very basic knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing

* Strong communication skills


* Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment


* Ability to work collaboratively with a team and support field operations
