Maintenance Associate

Position Overview 

Liberty POST is seeking a reliable and skilled Per Diem Maintenance Associate to provide maintenance and repair services across our three Hudson Valley office locations.

This position is responsible for addressing routine maintenance needs, minor repairs, and ensuring that our office spaces remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Work will be scheduled on an as-needed basis. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:


* Perform general maintenance and minor repairs (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, etc.) 



* Repair or replace fixtures such as lighting, ceiling tiles, locks, doors, cabinetry, and hardware 



* Troubleshoot and address minor plumbing issues (e.g., leaks, clogs, fixture replacements) 



* Perform basic electrical tasks (e.g., replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures) 



* Assemble and install office furniture and equipment 



* Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs 



* Coordinate with office management regarding repair timelines and material needs 



* Maintain tools and ensure a clean, safe work environment 



* Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests 



* Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks (e.g., weatherproofing, minor outdoor repairs) 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:


* Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or similar role 



* Strong working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair 



* Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively 



* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (travel between three Hudson Valley locations required) 



* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks 



* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 



* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 



* Flexible availability 

Preferred Qualifications: 


* Prior experience maintaining professional office or healthcare environments 



* Trade certification (a plus, but not required) 

Pay Rate: $45.00/hour

Work Schedule:


* As-needed basis 



* Flexible hours, with occasional urgent or same-day requests
