Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Cancer Symptom Management Clinic

Work Schedule:
100% FTE, day/evening shift working Monday - Friday, for 8 - 10 hours scheduled between 8:00 am - 8:00 pm with at least 1 in 4 Saturday coverage working 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Schedule is based on departmental needs and subject to change.

You will work at Eastpark Medical Center in Madison, WI.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:


* Grow our Cancer Symptom Management Clinic, which was established to provide expedited outpatient access for oncology patient evaluation with a goal to decrease avoidable emergency room visits.


* Collaborate with nursing triage to evaluate and treat patients experiencing acute complications of their oncologic condition and/or side effects of therapy (ie Neutropenic fever, and intractable nausea/vomiting).


* Assess patients in the infusion/chemotherapy area who experience an acute change in condition (ie.

Infusion reactions).

Education:


* If Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.


* If Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure

If Nurse Practitioner

* Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND


* Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice.

These may include the following: Adult, Adult/Gerontology Acute Care, Adult/Gerontology Primary Care, Family.

If Physician Assistant
