Clinic Assistant -- Ophthalmology Clinic

Location: Salmon Creek (2525 139thStreet - Vancouver, WA 98686)

Hiring range is between $18.60-$22.30 and placement in the range depends on an evaluation of experience.

Full-Time Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30a to 4:30p.

Join the Ophthalmologyteam at Salmon Creekas a full-time Clinic Assistant(non-clinical) and make a difference behind the scenes in patient care! The Clinic Assistant assists with incoming calls, vision copays, managing patient flow and communication with the back staff, paperwork, supplies, referrals, and authorizations.

This role is focused on delivering a high level of customer service and providing clerical support to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Key responsibilities:


* Supports team by scheduling appointments from phone calls and during checkouts and recalls


* Assists in providing information for appealed insurance claims


* Responsible for processing urgent referrals


* Offering administrative support for prior authorizations related to prescriptions


* Answer incoming calls and act as primary contact to answer questions from the Patient Service Center


* Processes paperwork for FMLA, ADA, and Workers Compensation for patients.


* Process and address non-clinical errors within EPIC

Requirements:


* High school diploma or equivalent required


* A minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting required


* EPIC experience preferred

Pay Range:
$18.24 - $25.54
