Clinical Aide

Position Summary

The Clinical Aide supports the overall health and wellness of individuals served by coordinating medical and dental care, providing safe transportation, and assisting during examinations.

This role maintains accurate documentation, communicates effectively with medical professionals, and ensures individuals receive appropriate follow-up care.

The Clinical Aide works closely with Clinical leadership to support daily operations within the Blount County service area.

Key Responsibilities


* Schedule medical, dental, and specialty appointments for individuals served.


* Transport individuals to and from appointments, ensuring safety and comfort throughout travel.


* Assist individuals during medical examinations, helping communicate needs, concerns, and relevant information to medical professionals.


* Communicate appointment outcomes, provider instructions, and follow-up needs to supervisors and clinical leadership.


* Complete all required documentation related to appointments, transportation, and follow-up care in a timely and accurate manner.


* Maintain a safe environment for individuals during transport and while attending medical visits.


* Follow all agency transportation policies and safety procedures.


* Report any concerns observed during transport or appointments to appropriate leadership.


* Maintain accurate records of spending related to individuals served, including receipts and logs.


* Ensure all documentation meets agency standards and regulatory requirements.


* Assist with communication between the agency, medical providers, and caregivers as needed.

Requirements



* High school diploma or equivalent.


* Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.


* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.


* Strong communication and organizational skills.


* Ability to safely assist individuals during appointments and transport.


* Experience working in healthcare, social services, or direct-support environments.


* Familiarity with medical terminology or appointment coordination.
