Systems Application Engineering Intern

What will you do?


* Learn about Energy Management, Building Automation Control, HVAC Systems, and Electronic Security Systems


* Experience providing high quality programming per specifications, standards, budgets and schedules.


* Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, contractors, engineers and fellow team members


* Create and analyze programs and resolve issues to ensure complete system functions properly


* Visit Existing buildings and active construction sites to learn firsthand what it takes to implement a system


* Get paired with a Senior field or design engineer for exposure to the following job aspects:
+ Troubleshoot and repair customer systems
+ Suggest system improvements and modifications
+ Coordination of installation, startup and commissioning of building control systems


* Understand how to read plans, specifications, drawings and estimates


* Manage incoming requests from customers, engineers and project managers efficiently so they are addressed in a timely manner while balancing work assignments


* Program building controllers according to sequence of operation

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?


* Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar program


* Programming skills are essential


* Understanding of electrical principles


* Understanding or interest in energy management, HVAC and building control systems


* Strong verbal and written communication skills

For this U.S.

based position, the expected compensation range is $23.00 - $27.00 per hour.

In addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and recognition programs.

The compensation rate for this position is for candidates located within the United States.

Individual pay is determined by several factors including knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
