Senior Specialist - Facilities (On-site Edinburg, Texas)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facility- related functions of the project.
- Serves as liaison to project's Day Porter.
- Work with the building landlord to ensure that the project's facility needs are met.
- Work with Project Contracts Manager to ensure that all building and materials licensing and permits are in compliance with various state or local authorities.
- Conduct daily facility review to ensure compliance with project safety and quality standards to ensure a productive and safe work environment.
- Perform ergonomic evaluations and adjustments for Project's personnel.
- Coordinate with Human Resource Department to reduce risk of workplace related injuries.
- Workplace general maintenance including evaluation and corrections.
- Oversee security and logistics associated with the project offices, warehouse, and disaster recovery facility.
- Identify and implement cost savings and resource conservation initiatives.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.
- Monitor eMaintenance Facilities Work Order System.
- Schedule, process, and complete work orders for building repairs and preventive maintenance of critical systems.
- Coordinate with outside contractors/vendors to schedule building repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Research issues, recommend preventative measures and participate in the development of changes.
- Responsible for equipment and material inventory and storage, to include furniture, technical equipment, and office supplies.
- Ensure employee common areas, including copy rooms and break areas are fully stocked and organized.
- Able to move boxes/material not to exceed 50lbs when receiving shipments from various vendors and or suppliers or preparing equipment to be shipped back to vendors or other sites.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Job Requirements:
- Previous facilities experience preferred.
- Capable of critical thinking and ability to resolve basic building related issues.
- Works on assignments that are routine in nature, with responsibilities easily learned on the job.
- Acquires job skills and learns applicable policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
- Able to read, understand & perform assignments within prescribed guidelines.
- Ability to communicate routine information in a clear and accurate way with internal & external contacts.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
- Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
- Must be willing to travel to other sites, as needed, in extenuating circumstances to support facilities team.
