Head of Management Accounts

Key Responsibilities



* Lead the Management Accounts function, overseeing the full month-end close to deliver accurate, timely reporting


* Produce performance and variance analysis, offering strategic insights to support data-driven decision-making


* Manage the consolidation of the UK P&L for Group reporting


* Oversee balance sheet reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SOX and internal controls


* Design, enhance and standardise processes, driving efficiency through automation and continuous improvement


* Line manage and mentor three Senior Management Accountants and coordinate the wider team


* Support annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting cycles


* Support statutory year-end audits, internal controls and SOX activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:



* Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with extensive experience leading a management accounts team


* Proven leadership capability, with experience guiding teams through organisational change


* Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with Power Platform tools (including M code and Power BI)


* Excellent ERP knowledge


* Previous US GAAP and SOX experience, including ASC 606

Desirable:



* Experience in public sector or outsourced business services


* Familiarity with SAP ByDesign


* Experience working within a matrix organisation.

Travel Requirements
