Specimen Control & Receiving Technician

Work Schedule:

40% FTE, Shifts may include early‑morning coverage starting as early as 04:00 and running through 12:30, as well as evening shifts from 15:00-22:00.

Weekend availability may be required depending on staffing needs.

An average of 8-16 hours per week, with hours varying week to week.

You will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital 1401 E.

Qualifications



* High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required


* Some post-secondary education in a healthcare or a related science field that may include course work in Medical Laboratory Technician, Cytotechnologist, Histotechnician or Medical Laboratory Scientist degree/certification.

Work Experience



* 6 months healthcare or laboratory related work experience.

Required


* 1 year healthcare or laboratory related work experience.

Preferred

Licenses & Certifications



* PBT(ASCP) Certification.
