Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides routine daily nursing care and services to assigned residents in accordance with each resident's assessment, individualized care plan, and direction from licensed nursing staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities


* Provide direct resident care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene.


* Assist residents with repositioning, transfers, ambulation, and mobility support.


* Measure and record vital signs (TPRs), weights, and intake/output as directed.


* Respond promptly to call lights and ensure residents' needs are met in a timely manner.


* Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.


* Maintain clean, safe, and organized resident rooms and common areas.


* Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or behavioral condition to the Charge Nurse.


* Assist residents during meals and document food and fluid intake.


* Follow infection control and safety protocols, including bloodborne pathogen procedures.


* Accurately complete documentation in accordance with facility policies and procedures.


* Maintain strict confidentiality of all resident information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.


* Immediately report accidents, incidents, injuries, abuse allegations, or safety concerns.


* Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.


* Follow all established policies and procedures and complete assigned tasks as directed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
Education and Experience


* Minimum 10th grade education required.


* Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations


* Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of California.


* CPR certification preferred.
