Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst
General Purpose
The Sr.
Cybersecurity Analyst serves as a lead defender against sophisticated digital threats.
This role focuses on proactive threat hunting, security engineering, and incident response leadership.
This role will integrate "Security by Design" into the organization's tech stack, ensuring that risk is mitigated before it impacts the business, while leading the response to complex security events.
Essential Duties
* Advanced Threat Detection: Design and tune SIEM correlation rules and EDR alerts to reduce noise and improve Mean Time to Detect (MTTD).
* Incident Response Leadership: Act as the lead investigator for security breaches, performing root-cause analysis and digital forensics to contain and remediate threats.
* Vulnerability Management: Orchestrate enterprise-wide scanning and penetration testing; prioritize remediation based on CVSS risk scores and business impact.
* Governance & Compliance: Develop and enforce internal security policies; lead technical preparation for annual audits (SOC2, ISO 27001, or NIST).
* Security Mentorship: Provide high-level guidance to junior analysts and lead organization-wide security awareness and "Purple Team" exercises.
Minimum Requirements
* Education: Bachelor's in Cybersecurity or Computer Science (Master's preferred).
* Experience: 5+ years in a SOC or security engineering environment; experience with Splunk, Sentinel, or CrowdStrike.
* Certifications (Preferred): CISSP (highly preferred), GCIH, or CISM.
Physical Demands
* Stationary Work: Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting/standing) for up to 90% of the workday monitoring multiple displays.
* Visual Acuity: High level of near-visual acuity required for analyzing code and log data.
* On-Call Stamina: Capability to work extended "war room" hours during active security incidents, including nights or weekends.
