What We're Looking For:

Michael Baker International is seeking a Roadway Design EIT to join our growing Salt Lake City (Midvale), UT office.

Under the guidance of experienced Engineers, Technical Managers, and Project Managers, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.

What You'll Do:


* Assist with design, construction documents, plan production, maps, basic reports, and other supporting documentation


* Assist with the preparation of drawings such as those needed for highways, structures, and water/wastewater projects


* Assist with quantities and project cost estimates


* Coordinating with design technicians to ensure timely and accurate deliverables


* Assist with document preparation for regulatory agencies to obtain required permits


* Assist with preparation for client and project meetings


* Attend internal project meetings and participates as necessary


* Occasionally visits project sites, and reports findings to Engineers and/or Project Managers

What You Need to Succeed:


* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited University; Master's Degree is a plus


* 0-2 years of related experience


* Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months required


* Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation and Microsoft Office Suite preferred


* Possess strong written and verbal communication skills


* Ability to efficiently work independently within a multi-disciplinary team and prioritize project assignments to meet competing deadlines

Compensation:

The approximate compensation range for this position is $62,267 - $89,898 per year.

This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.

Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
