Helpdesk Call-Center & Logistics Process Systems - Professional Student Intern (Paid)

The County of Riverside's Information Technology Department is currently seeking a paid intern.

The candidate will report to the IT Manager in the Customer Services Division.
The in-person student internship position is based in Riverside County and offers a flexible work week consisting of up to 30 hours per week, with flexibility granted around academic obligations.

The selected candidate can anticipate the internship to be 8-10 weeks in length.Under supervision, assists and participates in the work performed by employees of a specific profession; Through participation, receive supervised work experience in a specific professional vocation, and performs other related duties as required.

The intern will be responsible for, but not limited to:


* Analyze helpdesk and call center processes for efficiency and customer experience.


* Research innovative solutions and emerging technologies.


* Assist with ticket triage, escalation, and resolution support.


* Help manage inventory and coordinate hardware deployments.


* Identify and recommend process improvements, tools, and KPIs.


* Assist in implementing approved changes.


* Document current processes and identify bottlenecks.


* Recommend tools and define KPIs for performance tracking.


* Support implementation of improvements of workflows.

The intern should expect to gain hands-on IT helpdesk and call center experience, customer service skills, process improvement knowledge, exposure to logistics and inventory management, and professional development in communication and problem-solving.

Additionally, the intern will have the opportunity to collaborate in a team-oriented environment, enhancing their communication and teamwork skills.Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average : 2.5 GPA required.

Proof of most current unofficial/official transcript with cumulative GPA must be provided at time of application as well as a resume.

Education: Applicants must be currently enrolled/attending school at an accredited college or university in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, or a recent graduate.

Areas of Study : Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar.

Certifications in IT Operations, Database Management, Cybersecurity, or Cloud Technologies are highly desirable.

Minimum Qualifications:


* Student, or recent graduate in the Field of Information Technology, Computer Science or a closely related field with a concentration of Telecommunications, Information Systems, or Networking.


* 2.5 GPA or greater.
