Senior Lead Software Engineer - React Frontend

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities:


* Lead and develop high-quality web applications using React libraries.


* Implementing state management solutions (e.g., Redux, Context API) to handle data flow within the application.


* Collaborate with designers to translate Figma designs into functional UI components.


* Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs with ADA compatible.


* Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.


* Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.


* Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance.


* Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth.


* Contribute to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:


* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.


* 8+ years of software development experience.


* Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ReactJS.


* Strong understanding of Figma and other design tools.


* Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.


* Knowledge of version control systems like Git.


* Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.


* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


* Strong communication and leadership skills.


* Good understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.


* Experience with build and deploy tools like Webpack and Vite.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:


* Experience with other JavaScript frameworks like Angular or Vue.js.


* Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.


* Knowledge of performance optimization techniques.


* Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.


* Practical cloud native experience.
