Job Description:

Job Family Definition:

This Hardware Engineer (pluggable transceiver) intern position is responsible for developing enhanced features on an electrical loopback pluggable transceiver module and testing them at the system level.

Responsibilities:

In this position, you will be responsible for developing and testing advanced features in a CMIS compliant electrical loopback module.

You will enhance the existing module FW to add additional features using the embedded controller IDE tool and test the new features within our router host.

Education & Experience:


* Currently pursuing a Bachelor program in electrical engineering, computer science, FW/SW engineering or related field, with an emphasis on low level FW development.

Knowledge & Skills:


* Experience with Embedded C and/or C/C++ programming is highly preferred.


* Experience with GCC and/or ARM compilers preferred.


* Knowledge of Verilog may be an asset


* Knowledge of Python may be an asset


* Must be self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.


* Must work well in a collaborative technical environment.


* Effective communications skills, written and verbal, required.

Must be able to effectively communicate technical concepts to experts, as well as non-experts, in the field.
