Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Endocrinology

Work Schedule:
100%, day shift working Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

You will work at UnityPoint Health Meriter - West Washington Clinic and McKee Clinic in Madison, WI.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:


* Provide care primarily to patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis and/or general endocrine disorder.


* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to both well and ill patients in an outpatient (85%) and inpatient setting (15%).


* Participate in the daily functions of the Diabetes Management Service.


* Conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of patients/families with acute, chronic and/or potential health problems.

Education:
Minimum -


* If Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.


* If Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure

If Nurse Practitioner

*:


* Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND


* Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice.

These may include the following: Adult; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care; Emergency; Family.

If Physician Assistant

*:


* Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND


* Active PA board certification

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have

* Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.


* Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice.
