Divisional Asset Center Owner - OSB/CP

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a qualified professional for the role of OSB/CP Divisional Asset Centered Operations (ACO) Leader focusing on OSB operations.

This is a remote home-based position in the Southeastern US with travel to our OSB and CP facilities.

The individual will primarily be responsible for optimizing performance and building remote monitoring strategies for assets and processes across 7 manufacturing plants within our OSB/CP Division.

The successful candidate will understand the facilities' performance and work with the site teams to develop strategies to improve.

The OSB/cp division delivers customer-focused products and services that enable operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth across our core markets.

The division comprises seven manufacturing plants across the United States and Canada, including OSB, MDF, and particleboard facilities.

What You Will Do



* Lead the development of process centerlines to indicate precision state performance and assess the performance of assets across our network of plants.


* Based on asset assessments, work with the sites to develop prioritized strategies to address end-of-life assets and under-performing assets.


* Must be able to work closely with plant and corporate personnel to identify opportunities and create value for the stakeholders.


* Support of process operations, through both the application of the process control systems and general troubleshooting of the processes.


* Develop and improve remote monitoring strategies for critical assets.


* Champion the growth of analytics and new technologies to solve problems and improve performance across the network of plants.


* Use data to identify opportunities and prioritize work at the facilities.


* Work with the Division Operations Development Leader to identify and prioritize needed learning content.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)



* Three (3) or more years' of experience in working with or in Manufacturing operations


* Three (3) or more years' process support experience.

Examples of support include process troubleshooting, remote controls troubleshooting/support, and optimization of processes


* Experience in analyzing process data to optimize equipment performance


* Travel is expected in this position as needed.

* Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering


* Understanding of reliability best practices, process modelling and process controls


* Fluency in data mining/analysis and Microsoft applications
