Markets - High Yield Credit Trading - Analyst

As an experienced Analyst on our High Yield Credit Trading team, you will play a critical role in supporting daily operations on the Trading desk while developing skills and experience necessary to take on direct trading responsibilities as they arise.

You will work directly with a senior trader to learn credit analysis and risk/client relationship management within our investment process.

We work in an extremely fast-paced and competitive environment with plenty of responsibility for hungry and motivated individuals.

In this role you will have hands-on experience in High Yield credit trading at a leading global investment bank, and exposure to senior traders, sales, research and market professionals.

You will also have the opportunity to develop trading skills and progress toward direct trading responsibilities, as well as be a part of a collaborative and supportive team.

Job Responsibilities:


* Provide day-to-day support to trading team, including trade booking, P&L and risk monitoring/reporting.


* Assist with market analysis, trade idea generation, and the preparation of market commentary and desk reports.


* Monitor market news, flows, and pricing to help inform trading decisions.


* Maintain and update trading models, spreadsheets, and databases used by the desk.


* Assist with client requests and ad hoc projects as needed.


* Gradually assume trading responsibilities under the guidance of senior traders, including quoting markets, executing trades, and managing risk within defined parameters as opportunities arise.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:


* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.


* 1+ years of experience in fixed income, credit, or related financial markets (internships or full-time).


* Demonstrated interest in markets and trading.


* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


* Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros a plus).


* Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
