Job Description:
The Signal Integrity engineer will use sophisticated simulation tools and laboratory measurement to
design, simulate, validate, debug, and optimize high performance electrical systems.
The engineer
will work with a diverse team of engineers that support the design, validation, scaling, deployment,
and support of industry-leading supercomputer and AI systems.
A curious mind and attention to detail
are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
* Design and analyze single-ended and differential buses such as PCIe links and DDR memory channels
* Create simulation models, plan and execute simulation suites
* Correlate models to measured laboratory results
* Create PCB signal integrity design rules, stackup, and connector pinout recommendations
* Track and drive the resolution of electrical issues, execute hands-on testing and debugging to root cause
* Create documentation, test plans, and test reports
Education and Experience Required:
* Masters degree in electrical engineering, or Bachelors degree with equivalent experience
* 1-5 years experience in high performance electrical design
* Experience with Signal Integrity analysis
* Experience with printed circuit board materials and layout
* Experience with 3D modeling with tools such as HFSS is highly preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
* Experience using electrical design tools and software packages such as Ansoft, HFSS, Allegro
* Knowledge of signal integrity design principles
* Familiarity with S-parameters for channel analysis
* Hands-on experience with high frequency lab equipment such as VNA, spectrum analyzer, TDR, etc
* Knowledge of standard interconnect technologies such as I2C, SPI bus, etc.
* Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.
* Experience in at least one common scripting language is a plus (e.g.
Perl, bash, Python)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, mastery in English
