RN Assistant Director of Nursing

Position: Assistant Director of Nursing, RN

Pay: $68000 - $75000 yearly Depending on Experience

Caris Healthcare Assistant Director of Nursing, RN (ADON) assist Director of Nursing (DON) with coordinating all aspects of patient/family care and support and facilitates communication and interaction among personnel providing services to terminally ill patients.

Responsibilities

1.

Assist DON with coordination of the patient care aspects of the Hospice Program and the Interdisciplinary Team (IDG).
2.

Ensures referral/admission process is completed within Caris Health Care's customer service standards.
3.

Assist DON with assignment of patient care staff based on competency of available personnel.
4.

Assist DON to assure that nursing services delivered by hospice employees and by individuals employed through contractual agreements are provided in accordance with
established policies of the hospice.
5.

Assist DON with supervision of periodic reviews of patient medical records, employee visits, and daily activity reports to assure conformance with agency standards, licensure requirements, and professional community health nursing standards.
6.

Assist DON with planning of team conferences and IDG meetings.
7.

Assist DON and ADM with recruitments, hires, and directing the training of field staff in coordination with the Support Center.

Demonstrates effective counseling skills in
employee relations.
8.

Assist DON to assure the delivery of needed and appropriate services in accordance with agency and government policies through effective supervision of hospice staff.

Ensures competent, well-trained personnel by identification of skill, needs and subsequent recommendation of educational and developmental activities.
